Have you ever gone out of town and forwarded your mail to the post office until you return? our Mail Bagging (MX Backup) solution acts in the same way for your email messages without filling out a form each time your mail server is unavailable!
When your email server is unavailable, CAD Technologies Mail Bagging (MX Backup) captures the emails sent to your MX server and sends them to you when your system is back online. What's more, our SpamAssassin gateway system filters any incoming blatant spam and viruses from all bagged messages!
Consider this scenario: An email message is sent to a valid email address. The mail server associated with that email address is down. The email message bounces back to the sender as undeliverable.
Our Mail Bagging (MX Backup) solution prevents emails from bouncing back!
Messages sent to valid email addresses within your company during the server downtime will be stored until your mail server is brought back online. The mail bagging solution works in the following way: CAD Technologies provides you with redundant backup MX records to add to your DNS. These additional MX records will have a lower priority so that they act as your backup MX records, which allows you to continue to accept messages even when your mail server is busy or down.
